Service Dispatcher / Office Administrator

Company: Family-owned plumbing and drain service (Rooter Man)

Location: Clifton Park, NY (Remote / Work from Home)

Schedule: Full Time, Monday–Friday (occasional Saturdays/weeknights)

Compensation: $48,000–$52,000 per year

Job Summary

Serve as the central hub for field operations: primary contact for customers and technicians, scheduling service calls, handling customer data entry, and light invoicing with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and log incoming service requests (phone, email, online), prioritize urgency.
  • Assign calls to the right technicians; optimize routes based on skills and availability.
  • Communicate clear job details to technicians (primarily via text).
  • Manage schedules and workloads; adjust for urgent or unexpected issues.
  • Maintain accurate job records; process invoices in QuickBooks.
  • Handle general office administrative duties.
  • Primarily Mon–Fri; occasional Saturdays/weeknights as needed.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
  • Comfort with computers is a plus.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented, calm under pressure.
  • Similar role experience helpful but not required (training provided).
  • Geographic knowledge of the Capital District is beneficial (can be learned).
